Bonjour tout le monde!

Bonjour tout le monde!

How was everyone's week? Mine was pretty good. I had a lot of ups and downs but overall I think I might be able to go off and do this thing.

This week we tried to speak only French as a district (it didn't go so well haha), but I did sat try haha. It was interesting because I was able to do it for the times we were trying it. I really enjoy the French language and I am getting really excited to go use it. That being said I get really nervous when I'm trying to speak in a teaching setting. Every time we practice teaching my mind starts to go blank and I forget what I was trying to say. But I know that it all comes with practice and I believe that hopefully soon I'll be comfortable enough to speak in all situations. Something exciting though, I can always get my point across pretty well in casual situations. When speaking with Elder Picard I can have full conversations, and Elder Mann says that I can speak. So we're going to take his word for it haha.

Sadly though I have said goodbye to all my teachers, and I'm really going to miss all of them. They're really awesome and smart! They all prayed for us and it was super special every time. Hopefully a few will still be around BYU when I get back!

So now to what I'm most excited for, General Conference!! Everyone please do your best to watch, anyone with any background will be improved when hearing the words from living prophets. I know that every time I've watched, I come away with something to improve or a way I know God blesses me. If you need a way to watch go to: YouTube or the church website (https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/media/broadcasts?lang=eng).

And lastly, I have my travel plans! I fly to Louisville Kentucky on Monday morning at 8:30. So any mail can be sent to the mission home and I'll get it when I arrive.

Thanks to everyone who has supported me! I love all of you and I'll talk to you from Kentucky!

A bientôt!

Elder Baird
