Well Hello Everyone!

 Well hello everyone!

Apologies for not sending out an email last week, I'm still not used to how p-day works yet haha.

So here has been my last two weeks:

My comp Elder Cuary still hasn't made it from Canada, but with any luck he will get it early next week and still be allowed to join us for a week in person. Also Elder Nelson got Covid on Tuesday, which has been crazy since I am now the only one sleeping in my room. So now I get to sleep with two of the Spanish elders that have extra bunks in their room.

I was made district leader, because the last one was made the new district leader with his companion. I don't have to do a whole lot: just get the mail, check on everyone to report to the Branch President, and lead our devotional discussions. But I have been doing my best to help everyone that I now serve.

I've really enjoyed all my classes, teachers, and I sincerely think my French is improving. I can carry on and have full conversations in the language and I am loving that! Starting next week we no longer will be speaking any English to each other except maybe one day a week or one meal a day, which makes me quite nervous but it'll be good.

We got 3 new district members: Elder Mann from Manitoba in Canada, and Elder Picard and Soeur Tumarai from Tahiti. They are all going French speaking as well but are only here for 3 weeks since they already speak the language. Even crazier though is that Elder Picard doesn't speak any English, which forces us to communicate with him the best we can in French, and with the help of Elder Mann haha. They're all great and I'm glad to be with them. That now puts my MTC District to 17 Missionaries, when it usually is 10! It's been really awesome though.

And of course my favorite part of the week has been what's called "The Go and Do Experience" which is a wonderful opportunity we have every Sunday. We spend 2 entire hours just having a study completely led by what the Spirit dictates. Two weeks ago I read all the testimonies given to me by various members of my family, and followed a scripture written by my sister Miranda. This led me to reading about 6 different scriptures that all have the Lord telling his various servants "Fear not, I am with thee", which really struck me because I didn't realize how scared I was until then. And last week I chose to study the song "A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief", it's one of my favorite songs and I think it encapsulates all that I am here to do as a missionary. Which is to love my fellow men and help them come unto Christ, and in the end I am just serving God and accomplishing His great work.

In closing, I love all of you and am thankful for all that you do to support me. If you can, please take some time before General Conference and Easter Sunday to listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit and study any questions that you may have about God or his Gospel. Then take those questions and bring them before him for an answer, I can promise that he will answer if you have faith in Him.

Let me know if there is anything I can do for any of you!
